George & Olive Holness Memorial Scholarship

   

 "The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity” 


 

George Johnson Holness (1890 - 1963), was an educator who inspired his children and students alike to pursue lifelong learning. He led by precept and example and participated in all facets of education for his entire life. His life exemplified service to all humanity.

Olive Lavinia Holness (nee Lewis ; 1898-1968), taught valuable life lessons to her children from hearth and home, thus preparing them for productive and meaningful lives. Her life epitomized strong values, fortitude and unwavering loyalty.

The George and Olive Holness Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established by their daughter Allison Eleanor Holness.

​

The scholarship will be directed towards educating
needy children in Jamaica.
